I found these facts to be quite revealing about the presumptive democratic nominee for President. Especially interesting is the revelation that Obama is only 7% black, but 45% Arab. Enjoy. Hat tip to Douglas Branham for the list:

EXACTLY, your cousin Raila Odinga has created mass violence in attempting
to overturn a legitimate election in 2007, in Kenya. It is the first
widespread violence in decades. The current government is pro-American
but Odinga wants to overthrow it and establish Muslim Sharia law. Your
half-brother, Abongo Obama, is Odinga’s follower. You interrupted your
New Hampshire campaigning to speak to Odinga on the phone. Check out

Obama’s cousin Odinga in Kenya ran for president and
tried to get Sharia muslim law in place there. When Odinga lost the

men, women and children alive in a Christian church where they took

EXACTLY, she does her daily Salat prayers at 5am according to her own
interviews. Not to mention, Christianity wouldn’t allow her to have been
one of 14 wives to 1 man.
6.) My Name is African Swahili – NOT EXACTLY, your name is
Arabic and ‘Baraka’ (from which Barack came) means
‘blessed’ in that language. Hussein is also Arabic and so is Obama.
Barack Hussein Obama is not half black. If elected, he
would be the first Arab-American President, not the first black
President. Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother’s side
and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father’s side. While
Barack Hussein Obama’s father was from Kenya, his father’s family

I’m not really understanding the issue with Obama’s ethnicity. Does it really matter that he’s less than 10% black? Does it REALLY matter that he’s almost half arab? Any percentage of black or arab is going to make him a multiracial president which makes him stand out among all other presidents. If anyone is to be chastised for labeling him as more than such, it’s his supporters and critics alike who are looking for a reason other than his policies to support or naysay a ‘brand new’ candidate.

The issue is that B. Hussein Obama has been packaged by his campaign and the media as “the first african-american nominee for President of the United States” when this is a blatant misrepresenation. He has been paraded in front of the black community as the great black hope merely because he looks black, when in fact he is more white and arab ethnically than anything else.
Let me ask you this question: My full ethnicity is Irish, German, and Native American. My paternal grandmother’s side of the family is 100% Irish. My fpaternal grandfather’s side is over 90% Irish. My maternal grandmother’s side is a mix of German and Irish and my maternal grandfather’s side is 100% German. The only Native American ancestor I have is my paternal grandfather’s grandfather. If I run for President, will I be the first Native American candidate for President of the United States?

The snopes article critiques a list of 50, I listed 38.
Of my 38 things about Obama, snopes criticized only 19. Of those 19 criticisms, 6 are outright debunkings. The rest are opinions recharacterizing his statements and hair splitting.
So congratulations, Corey. You have successfully brought to my readers attentions that 6 things on my list were wrong. . . . . but what about the other 32 that are right?
Or are you just that intellectually dishonest to think that if you find one fact wrong in an article, everything else MUST be wrong, too?

Hank, it is debatable whether or not 19 of the items on the list were re-characterizations as you say. But you yourself admit that 6 things on the list are outright debunked by the Snopes article, and I have to agree with Corey that I am skeptical. This list has critical problems with authority. It has many claims, but lacks citation, whereas the Snopes article provides citation in most (but not all) cases. The Snopes article is far from perfect, but the Not Exactly article and it’s lack of citation on several debunked items directly challenges all of the other claims of the author. How often do you let someone lie to you once, but then trust them without question on all other statements? The Snopes article points out more than minor factual errors, it indicates outright fabrications. Worse than that, no author is directly attributed to the list, and from my research, the author is not actually known. The intellectually honest thing to do would be to point out where you agree that the article was off base, and then to research the unsupported claims to find better documentation. Do less than that and you are simply reporting rumor and innuendo.
I can’t speak for Corey, but I am not an automated blog responder. I was given a copy of the 50 lies version of the list and began doing some research. Your blog sparked my interest because you used the phrase intellectual honesty in a response, and frankly I like that phrase. But intellectual honesty cuts both ways, and you as the publisher of a laundry list of accusations bear the burden of responsibility for the claims within. So I challenge you, in the spirit of intellectual honesty, can you prove the claims on the list?
