Schuylkill County is buzzing today. Republican Presidential nominee,Sen. John McCain will be appearing at Martz Hall in Pottsville later this afternoon. Tickets to the event have disappeared like hotcakes at fat camp over the past three days as thousands of supporters have descended upon the county for a truly historical night.
Yours truly will be handing out press credentials and shepherding reporters to their designated areas during the rally. If you spot me, come by and say hello.
Volunteers are still needed for the event. So, if you would like to help out, visit the Schuylkill Victory Center at 217 North Centre Street in Pottsville during the day today for more details.
The doors are slated to open at 4:30 PM with the program begining at 5:30 PM. However, seating is first come first serve. The earlier you arrive, the better your seat will be. So, we are telling people it would be best to be at Martz Hall around 3 PM.
If you do not yet have tickets, you can stop by the Schuylkill Victory Center and pick them up all day. The campaign wants to pack the hall with as many people as the fire marshall will allow, so anyone who wants to see the next President of the United States in person is expected to be accommodated.
